A workshop at Leuphana University of Lüneburg targets lecturers of the module ‘Responsibility and Sustainability’, which introduces first semester Bachelor students to ESD. Lecturers are being supported in combining ESD with undergraduate research and developing a collaborative culture of teaching and learning.
The workshop aims at enabling lecturers to provide their students with key sustainability competences (Gestaltungskompetenzen). The ESD approach is based on the Humboldt model of education, interdisciplinary modules, and critical thinking and reflection.
Professional Development Approach
During a three-day workshop lecturers of the Bachelor module ‘Responsibility and Sustainability’ receive expert input, exchange and engage in discussions and open space formats and develop their project-based seminar concepts.
